Former Knicks great Allan Houston is the front runner to become the next Knicks General Manager. Donnie Walsh is retiring after the season filling a need for a new GM. Isiah Thomas who was fault for many of the recent Knicks failure seasons was actually being thrown into the mix for the General Manager position. I’m unsure if he still is but Donnie Walsh has put Allan Houston under his wings to learn the position of the General Manager. Right now Allan Houston is the team’s special assistant to the president. Knicks Fans certainly would be excited and all in with this move especially if Isiah Thomas is even being considered. Knicks owner James Dolan and coach Mike D’Antoni are reported to both be comfortable with Houston.
