NBA: Shaquille O’Neal interested in joining the Celtics, Signings, News, and Rumors

Shaquille O’Neal might find a team this season. The Celtics are currently the only team with legit interest in him. The Atlanta Hawks are no longer interested after adding a cheaper option in C Josh Powell. O’Neal’s salary demands is what is holding back teams, Shaq wants 2 years and 8 million a season. Only way he goes to the Celtics for that money is in a sign and trade deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers because the Celtics don’t have any room, or exceptions to pay him beyond the the NBA veteran minimium.

The Cleveland Cavaliers signed G/F Christian Eyenga (2 years, 2M)

The San Antonio Spurs signed the 20th overall draft pick G James Anderson. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

F Tim Thomas is negotiating to re-sign with the Dallas Mavericks. Thomas missed half the season to take care of his ill wife.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are still trying to find suitors for C Ryan Hollins, G Ramon Sessions, and C Kosta Koufos

F Ike Diogu is looking at his options of playing for the Dallas Mavericks as a backup for Dirk Nowitzki or returning to the New Orleans Hornets.

The New Orleans Hornets if they trade Chris Paul will include Emeka Okafor who’s contract is a tough one to have. Okafor signed on for 4 years, 52 million.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have some interest in G Delonte West who the Cleveland Cavaliers are thinking about cutting if he doesn’t get traded.

The Sacramento Kings signed G/F Antoine Wright and G Pooh Jeter. The team did not reveal terms of the deal yet.

The Boston Celtics are interested in adding a cheap option to fill in needed depth. They are interested in G Von Wafer and F Jarvis Hayes

Former NBA player Lorenzen Wright is been missing for nearly a week. He was last seen in Memphis before boarding a flight out of town.
