It’s official the Tigers trade Dontrelle Willis to the Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks agreed to trade Billy Buckner for Willis. Buckner in 3 starts for the Diamondbacks this year hasn’t looked good. Buckner has let up 26 hits, 16 earned runs in only 13 innings. His era is 11.08. Dontrelle Willis will most likely immediately replace Buckner as the 5th starter. As for Buckner he could end up in Triple A till he get’s his command up. Diamondbacks need all the help at pitching. Willis could be a decent pickup here for them. Dontrelle Willis will most likely make his Diamondback pitching debut on June 5th or 6th vs the Rockies. There playing in the desert which is good for Dontrelle Willis’s sake.
