Strikeforce Fedor vs Werdum Results
Main Card:
Fabricio Werdum def. Fedor Emilianenko by submission (triangle choke) Round 1 (1:09)
Cristiane Cyborg Santos def. Jan Finney by KO (knee strike) Round 2 (2:56)
Cung Le def. Scott Smith by TKO (strikes) Round 2 (1:45)
Josh Thomson def. Pat Healy by submission (rear-naked choke) Round 3 (4:27)
PRELIMINARY CARD:
Bobby Stack def. Derrick Burnsed by split decision (29-28, 27-30, 29-28)
Yancey Medeiros def. Gareth Joseph by knockout (punches) Round 2 (1:19)
Bret Bergmark def. Vagner Rocha by unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-26)
Chris Cope def. Ron Keslar by TKO (strikes) Round 2 (4:32)
Strikeforce Prediction: 4-4. My first strikeforce predictions didn’t go as I planned but weren’t terrible. Fabricio Werdum comes as the biggest surprise. He landed no punches yet brought down the emperor by submitting him. By far the biggest shock to not only Strikeforce but the MMA world in which Fedor is ranked as the #1 heavyweight.

Edwin Jackson throws a rare no-hitter
Posted by KDog13 on June 26, 2010
Edwin Jackson threw a no-hitter on 149 pitches. Rarely you see a pitcher throw over 110 pitches but Jackson wasn’t going to stop until he gave up a hit. Jackson also walked 8 batters which can explain for 32 of the pitches. In the 9th inning Jackson showed no slowing down either being clocked throwing 95 mph. Jackson threw his no-hitter against his former team which has been the target of yet another no hitter. The Tampa Bay Rays since last July have been no hit 3 times now including Dallas Braden’s perfect game this year. Edwin Jackson no-hitter is the 2nd one in Arizona Diamonbacks history along with Randy Johnson’s perfect game. Edwin Jackson was acquired in the offseason in a 3 way trade between the Yankees and Tigers. Edwin Jackson’s rare no hitter is the buzz of the baseball world today.

“Dean of Mean” Keith Jardine cut from the UFC
Posted by KDog13 on June 25, 2010
“The Dean of Mean” was cut from the UFC after his TUF Finale loss to Matt Hamill. It was his 4th straight loss which prompted him being cut. He loss 2 to decisions and 2 by knockouts. Both decisions he earned fight of the night. “The Dean of Mean” is known for his scary stare downs, weird fight style, toughness, and always his warrior attitude in the octagon. Dana White although cutting him could welcome him back. Keith Jardine just needs to catch on somewhere else and prove he is ready to come back to tough competition. Keith Jardine walks out of the octagon for now with a 6-7 record racking up notable wins over Chuck Liddell, Brandon Vera, Wilson Gouveia, and Forrest Griffin. “The Dean of Mean” counts on being back with a vengeance.
