-QB Caleb Hanie had a pretty good game. Hanie also left the game with a shoulder injury that shouldn’t sideline for too long. He had 1 mistake in the game with the interceptions but other than that he was 10-17, had 148 passing yards, and a touchdown.
-QB Dan LeFevour had a dismal outing. LeFevour was 2-10, had 21 passing yards, and was sacked 3 times. Not a great look especially if he wants to be the backup quarterback. With Hanie hurt for probably 2 more preseason games LeFevour will play most of the game and have a better feel of the offense.
-RB Chester Taylor didn’t do all that much but he wasn’t to blame for all of it. The O line looked pretty bad. Taylor had 6 carries for 10 yards.
-Receivers Devin Aromashodu and Johnny Knox both looked like a tough tandem and solid receivers for Jay Cutler. Aromashodu was solid in which he had 4 receptions for 78 yards, and 1 touchdown. Knox had 2 receptions for 47yards.
-Linebackers Kevin Malast, and Matt Mayberry were solid. Malast had 7 tackles, and 1 pass deflections. Mayberry had 5 tackles. Malast could find himself as the backup middle linebacker or at least the 3rd string, especially with a good game. Mayberry had a good game but has tough competition to be on the team. Although Hillenmeyer will have his foot checked out, but it doesn’t seem that bad. Mayberry also left the game though with an ankle injury.
Defensive Backs- Major Wright, D.J. Moore, Joshau Moore, and Al Afalava had good games. Wright had 6 tackles, and 1 assisted tackle. D.J. Moore had 3 tackles, and 1 assisted tackle. J. Moore had 4 tackles. Afalava had 2 tackles, 1 assisted tackle, and 1 interception. Major Wright looked like a solid rookie pick but injuried his index finger and will need surgery on it. He could miss the whole preseason.
The Injuried: Safety Craig Steltz (ankle), Linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer (foot) ,Wide receiver Johnny Knox (hamstring), Safety Major Wright (finger), Earl Bennett (hamstring), and Defensive lineman Jarron Gilbert
