NFL: Favre tells Vikings he will not return for a second season
All the wear and tear on top of surgery after surgery. Brett Favre has told the Vikings that we will not return for the second season. Favre has not said anything about an official retirement and considering his past he could comeback. His surgically repaired ankle has supposedly been the problem for Favre as it hasn’t recovered fully yet. If Favre actually retires it will be a different and odd NFL season. If Favre did in fact retire his career stats would end up like this. 289 career game, 62.0 completion percentage, 69,329 passing yards, 497 touchdowns, 180 NFL wins, 1,834 rushing yards, and 14 rushing touchdowns. A career like no other, a soon to be Hall of Famer, and simply a Legend.
I woke up this morning hoping for something to finally be in the news and lone behold I see the Brett Favre story. Although I am happy to finally see a story, I am sad that I’m not going to be able to watch Brett Favre play again this year. He had such a great year last year, I would have loved to see what he could have done this year.
