The ace Cliff Lee is on the brink of joining an already beefed up pitching staff. After last night’s game verse the Yankees, the Mariners lowered there demands on Cliff Lee. There are other teams possibly brewing a counter trade but the Mariners seem to like what they are getting. The Yankees are to trade the #4 prospect this year catcher Jesus Montero, and second base propsect David Adams. Another prospect or player might be added as well. Cliff Lee is expected to pitch against the Yankees today unless the trade is agreed upon today. The Minnesota Twins, New York Mets, Cincinnati Reds, and Texas Rangers were all interested in Lee. With lowered demands for Lee could we see a counter trade. Stay tuned for more information.
