The Los Angeles Lakers led by strong play from Kobe Bryant were able to blow out the Celtics and force a game 7. They beat the Celtics by a score of 89-67. Ron Artest contributed on offense, the way the Lakers need and want from him. Artest scored 15 points. The Lakers bench play was also a key factor as they scored 25 points combined. Lamar Odom, Shannon Brown, Sasha Vujacic, and Jordan Farmar led the attack off the bench. Kobe Bryant was key in this victory with strong play at the half with 15 points, 7 rebounds and finishing up with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 assist. Pau Gasol also supplied the Lakers with an almost triple double. Gasol scored 17 points, snagged 13 rebounds, and dished out 9 assist. The Celtics were led by Ray Allen with 19 points. Garnett and Pierce combined for only 25 points. Also no help came from the bench as they combined for 13 points. Just a disappointing performance by the Celtics all together. After Kobe Bryant’s layup at 6:38 in the first quarter to take the lead the Lakers never looked back. Off to Game 7 to complete a thriller in NBA Finals. Tune on Thursday to watch Game 7 at 9pm eastern on ABC.
