A silent debut due to the hype of Strasburg’s debut but a very good one overall. Michael Stanton tore it up in AA and the Marlins had to call him up. His numbers in 52 games: .311 average, 21 homers, and 52 runs batted in. He dominated in the minors and clearly was ready for the MLB. Making his debut today Stanton went 3-5 in a 10-8 loss to the Phillies. The 3 hits were all singles and Stanton also scored 2 runs. A silent but impressive debut for the young home run machine. His next game will be a challenge as he versus one of the best pitchers if not the best in baseball right now. Roy Halladay vs Michael Stanton will be an awesome showdown. Watch them showdown Wednesday at 7:05 eastern.
