Boston Revival

A rejuvenated Boston Celtics club stole a game away from the Lakers at the Staples Center. It was a different looking Celtics club from Game 1 no doubt. The Celtics and Lakers battled through 3 quarters as they headed into the 4th quarter tied. A dominant performance by Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo led the Celtics past the Lakers in the 4th quarter. Not only getting the Win and tying the series but the fact they stole a game on the road might present itself to be bigger later on. Ray Allen was a beast going 8-11 from behind the 3 point line, scoring 32 points. Rajon Rondo triple double was the story though. An MVP performance and a timely one indeed. Rajon Rondo scored 19 points, dished out 10 assist, and grabbed 12 rebounds. The Lakers had good performances from Pau Gasol (25 points), Andrew Bynum (21 points), and Kobe Bryant (21 points) but to no avail. The downfall was no bench play. Also no help from Ron Artest and Derek Fisher who combined for 12 points. The Lakers need more help from the bench and they need Ron Artest to contribute on offense. Tune into Celtics and Lakers Game 3, Tuesday at 9pm eastern on ABC.
