Not only do you have the greatest martial artist of all time as champion, but there’s entertaining guys like Chael Sonnen and Michael Bisping, as well as rising talents like Chris Weidman. Rashad Evans may even drop down to compete at 185lbs as well, increasing the strength of the division even more.

I never had Barboza up high in the ranking, he never beat anyone to be honest. Being undefeated is a joke these days, people overlook who you beat instead of your record. I like Varner too, I picked him to beat Barboza in my predictions, and he’d be higher in the rankings but his recent skid had him off my radar. His loss to Cochrane was bad. But, I’m happy he’s back, and I think he’s going to be a force in the UFC too!

Alves is equally as dangerous due to his powerful striking but I tend to favor Kampmann because he’s so technical and picks his shots. Not that is changes my opinion of anything but Kampmann beat Story who beat Alves. I just think Alves gets picked apart slowly but it should be a fun fight. Enjoy, fellow MMA fan!
